City Hall
The governing body of the City of Timmins is City Council. It consists of the Mayor and councillors from each of the City's five wards. Members of Council are elected by residents to a four-year term of office.

Clerks Department
The Clerks Department is responsible for providing information and service to the public, Council, city departments, outside agencies, businesses, media, provincial and federal governments on matters relating to municipal government; to conduct transparent elections; to efficiently maintain corporate records; to deliver effective municipal law enforcement services; to provide information on municipal legislation and management services to Cemeteries, leisure services, museums, tourism, attractions, crossing guards, and parking control.
