There are many resources in Timmins available to assist you in your transition and integration into the community.  The Timmins Public Library, local newspapers and/or Internet news, the Timmins Chamber of Commerce and the Timmins Economic Development Corporation can provide you with local information and services available within the community.

Newspapers

The Daily Press / Les Nouvelles
The Daily Press, a division of Sun Media Group, is the newspaper of record in the City of Timmins. It is a community-based, award-winning publication, which takes pride in its historic connection to both the City of Timmins and the newspaper industry. The Daily Press is well known for its high-profile community involvement. It hosts an Annual Literary and Music Awards event and sponsors countless community endeavours from the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation's Road Runner Relay to the Frog's Breath Charity Golf Tournament. The newspaper is a member of the Canadian Press, the Ontario Press Council, CCAB, and the Canadian Newspaper Association.

Based in Timmins, Les Nouvelles is published weekly and has a circulation of about 3,000. This Francophone newspaper covers a variety of stories which are important to the francophone population of Timmins and the surrounding area.
